Interactive hands-on instruction

Takeoff, Modeling & Production Control Training

Tuesday - Takeoff & rough grade modeling from PDF

Learn basic takeoff of original ground and rough grade modeling of proposed design from plan sheet Pdfs. Topics include data entry, data editing, corrections for stripping, subsidence and compaction, deduction of paving sections, quantity analysis, formatting reports and the geo-referencing of plan sheets and takeoff data for viewing in Google Earth and on site in AGTEK mobile apps.

Wednesday - Advanced takeoff & GPS modeling from CAD

Use CAD or LandXML files to speed takeoffs and improve precision of GPS models for Topcon, Trimble or Leica control systems. Topics include techniques for selecting and transferring CAD data, use of standardized line labels and colors, techniques for assigning elevations, the advanced use of templates, the staging of data, multiple surfaces, map projections and state plane coordinates. Thursday - Getting the most out of AGTEK with Drones and Materials

Learn how to fly dirt-simple drone surveys, process photogrammetry, and derive accurate progress quantities from ortho images and point clouds. Learn how to use simple motion tracking sensors for real time monitoring of the move-time-per-hour efficiency of production machines. Learn to motivate and empower the foreman on site by funneling geo-referenced, graphical production feedback directly to AGTEK apps on his cell phone or tablet. Learn to use progress measurements and track logs to assess operational effectiveness against the production plan. Learn to create a structures list and takeoff material quantities from PDF plans, drone images or integrated earthwork takeoff data.
